For those in need of a getaway this long weekend, this place is actually perfect for you. Just one bus ride, and you’re already in this surfing haven.
Liwliwa, Zambales is one of the top surfing spots here in the Philippines. If you’re familiar with Baler & La Union, you can mark them off and go to Liwliwa instead since surfing in this place is as perfect as in Baler & La Union. Aside from having perfect waves for surfing, the beach also has its laidback atmosphere and isnt as crowded as the others. You can definitely chill, relax and forget the whole world for a while. Plus, this place is budget friendly too! No entrance fee on the beach + cheap rentals of surfing boards. Yahoo!!
During our time, the waves were really perfect for surfing. Kiel and I tried to master it but unfortunately it was just Kiel who perfected it. I suck at surfing hahaha. I always end up drowning myself. It was fun though! It’s worth the try.
We also tried skim boarding. Mhan, it was hard. I don’t know if I just suck or the sport isnt just meant for me. Hahaha i keep on sliding and falling, then laugh it all off! Again, it was worth the try. Sobrang saya!
After all the activities, we decided to just chill by the beach and appreciate the beautiful landscape of Zambales. We also waited for the sunset.
By morning, we woke up early to catch the sunrise. We didnt just witnessed the magnificent view of the sunrise but also spotted some locals catching fishes through their huge nets. Ahhh, I really look up to these people who really strive hard to earn for living.
Aside from surfing and skim boarding, you can also try these activities:
