Crosswinds Swiss Luxury Resort: The Switzerland of the Philippines

“Experience an alpine Christmas all year round at Crosswinds’ Christmas Village in Tagaytay”

We were blown away by our recent experience in this magical kingdom just an hour away from Manila. Yep, it may seem far far away, as it really looks magical, but it is just in Tagaytay.

Can’t you believe that?! For just a couple of MINUTES of traveling, you can already experience Swiss life. Indeed, every corner is Switzerland-ish: the houses, the pine trees (my fave!), the ambiance, the jaw-dropping view, the cold breeze, everything! Yep, if you’re dreaming to be in Switzerland and yet don’t have the ability to, you are in the perfect blog post!

Let the photos be your personal concierge to this magical place!

About Crosswinds

Hidden in the heart of Tagaytay City, Crosswinds Swiss Luxury Resort is a place like no other. Its stupefying lush landscape and rolling terrain at one of the highest peak of the city, the cool breeze complimenting that sweet scent coming from the aesthetic pine trees placed all over the whole place, rows of picturesque swiss-inspired homes rested serenely in the 100 hectare marvelous Resort Suite- it is absolutely a Switzerland experience!

If you’ll ask me where will be the perfect staycation with a balance of being relaxed and enjoyed? With no doubt, I will highly recommend this kingdom. We all know that Tagaytay  has a lot to offer to tourists – not just a relaxing getaway. This is definitely one of the most exciting places to visit during ‘winter’ season in the Philippines. As much as we wanted snow and a cold atmosphere during our winter season, we can’t. Well our country is a tropical one, so even during winter, you still can feel the hot atmosphere- which somewhat sucks. But Tagaytay is an exception. You will definitely escape the hot weather of the city and feel as if you are NOT in the Philippines. Aside from the cool breeze, there are numerous attractions Tagaytay offers. With endless list of things to do and see, you will absolutely have a fun filled getaway this winter season!

Our Experience

After all the hustle and bustle of our need to dos/ responsibilities/ busy life during Christmas Season, we extremely crave for that relaxing staycation- but of course, a unique one! From the fact that my Parents just arrived in the Philippines from Saudi Arabia (yep, they’re OFWs), we needed that getaway like no other. Gratefully, we discovered this Swiss Resort! Without regrets, we really had a great time. We already felt relaxed as soon as we enter the main gate seeing the breathtaking view of the surroundings. We couldn’t asked for more. Everything was perfect – the place, the weather, the relaxing comfort given by our accommodation, the fast and friendly staff, the hassle-free transactions/processes, the yummy food we ate at the cafe inside the Resort, and the company (Thank God we’re complete again.)

The Room (One Bedroom Suite)

The room was beyond our expectations. We literally wow-ed as we enter the door of our suite. It was huge! It features a spacious living room with a dining area on the side, a one bedroom with a choice of either a one queen sized bed or two single sized beds, a fully equipped kitchen and a connecting toilet with the best shower ever!! The promised luxury is absolutely seen and experienced. Bitin ang isang araw. We wanted to stay for more than a day!

Buffet Breakfast

Included in the Room Package is a buffet breakfast good for 2. As for us, we added two extra persons in our Room Package so we are entitled to 4 buffet breakfast.

The food was good. It wasn’t that satisfying, but is already enough for your morning. (Though I was really craving for pancakes that time 😦 )

Christmas Village

One of the best spot inside Crosswinds Resort Suites is this Christmas Village located just a few blocks away from our Hotel. These two swiss-inspired houses designed perfectly for Christmas absolutely gave us the joy we needed for our Christmas spirit. Everything was Christmas-y! The exterior of the houses are designed with a lot of Christmas trinkets, while the interior was filled with Christmas toys! How cute was that!!

Coffee Shop

Another must visit spot is this Coffee Shop located near the gate. It features a cutie patootie shuttle bus and picture perfect swiss inspired stores! They are definitely instagrammable.

Pool & Playground

The pool & playground was not as luxurious as the other features of the Resort. The area was quite small so we were not that attracted to try both the playground and the pool. Well if you have the luxury of time, you can try them!

How to get there?
