What to Expect?
Mentioned earlier, this tour has been the highlight of our trip to Brunei. It was really a terrific experience! Let me impart to you the goings-on we had during this tour:
Experience of a Local Speedboat in Bumbungan 12 Jetty
This was truly an authentic local experience, where you get to experience one of their unique transportation system: their one-off speedboat. This speedboat is huge where around 24 people can fit. What’s more about this fun ride is that it passes along the amazing water villages of the city and mangrove trees that are so pleasing to the eyes. The ride was also thrillingly fast that will amuse you the whole journey.
More facts about this ride: One way ride costs about 6 BND and takes aout 45 minutes to reach Bangar Town. Operating hours is from from 7am to 5pm.
Personally, this was the best part of the whole trip. This ride is epicly fun! Besides its uniqueness and authenticity of being local, the ride itself is thrilling! You’ll get to pass by several rapids, and the ride was excitingly fast, making it so enjoyable! You can also witness how beautiful the jungle is, passing by the colorful forest- especially the one-of-a-kind Tualang Trees!
This is the highlight of the tour, where true adventure is found. Here, you’ll get to hike up in about 850 steps, 950 meters high to get to the peak. During the hike, you’ll amazingly pass by the sundry evergreens, and come across the heart of the jungle. As you reach the peak, you’ll be able to marvel the tallness of the Canopy Tower– which consists of 40-50 meters aluminum structure. This Canopy Tower can be climbed! And once you reach the top, you’ll witness the splendor of Brunei’s beautiful and pristine rainforests. It was breathtaking.
This is a total complement of the whole adventure in Ulu Temburong Park. You’ll get to experience a mini hike in the jungle, passing by streams of water, and tall scenic trees. The serenity of the forests will embrace you, and its tranquility will sooth you. After a couple of minutes, you’ll reach a mini waterfalls which is perfect for an afternoon dip after a tiring hike from the Canopy Walk. The coolness of the water was absolutely perfect!
