Siargao Island is, without a doubt, a charming paradise that’s wonderfully surrounded by breathtaking coconut trees, white sandy beaches and the largest mangrove forest in Mindanao. Not only that, but it’s also speckled with epic peaks and hilly terrains- in short, Siargao is truly a beauty.
So while you’re in that tropical vacation, why don’t you compliment it with a perfect staycation to soak it all in?
Introducing, Salvacion Hills Glamping or originally known as Bukid Pa More Accommodation!! Believe me when I say that this will be one of the best accommodation choice that you can make during your Siargao trip. I would know since I’ve been here in Siargao for thrice already this year, and this is the staycation that I absolutely enjoyed and that I will forever remember.
Tourist Free. Salvacion Hills Glamping / Bukid Pa More is a newly opened glamping site. That being said, not all tourists (or even locals) are aware of this beauty. Hence, there is a high possibility that you can own this paradise all to yourselves!
Prime Location. Smacked in the not-so-known town of Pilar in Salvacion, Siargao, Bukid Pa More is located in the hidden corners of the town that’s away from the bustle of it all- definitely an escape to a picturesque height. I must admit, going to this accommodation is a struggle as you have to pass by rough roads. (Road is still in construction and is expected to be done in a span of 4 mos.) But the hassle of getting there is WORTHY.
Serene Lux. Here in Bukid Pa More, you’ll be offered a unique atmosphere that embodies utter comfort, creativity, and style. After all, right from the moment that you step into the place, you’ll be greeted by its rich mountain terrain that will take your breath away in a heartbear. Definitely picture perfect and the scenic beach view is cherry on top! In the mornings that I do wake up early, the view gets more magical with the sunrise waving good morning to you — that being said, I highly recommend that you make time to catch this sight.)
We called this our room wrapped in canvas and couldn’t have been happier with this accommodation. We all slept so comfortably with the sounds of the birds chipping and embraced by Siargao’s endless night sky. Our 20 sqm. room is composed of a queen sized inflatable air bed ( you can choose between 2 single beds or one queens sized), an inflatable air couch, a fan, and a wooden table- just enough for our mini staycation.
The place also consist of a common house with kitchen and bathroom- which is our favorite tambayan place!
Sunrise, Sunset and the Stars. I couldn’t ask for more. Bukid Pa More took my breath away. What made our staycation even more amazing aside from the unfathomable beauty of our accommodation is the place’s caretaker, Kuya Rodol. He has the kindest heart who made our stay unforgettable. Apart from us being spoiled by him, he even introduced us to their local living. He took us to his town just a few walks away our accommodation and brought us to his house to meet his family. It was a heartwarming experience. We were able to play games with the kids and taste his specialty (he loves to cook!) for dinner. The next morning, he, together with his family and relatives, took us to the nearby *secret* beach where rock pools are visible at low tide. The place was amazing! They cooked us lunch and enjoyed the place the whole day! SOBRANG SAYA. Not to mention the kids who were so vibrant and happy playing with us. We ended our day by meeting more locals through a basketball game in their town, and partying the local way afterwards. It was indeed a one-for-the-books experience that we will forever keep in our hearts.
How To Get There?
As said earlier, accessing Bukid Pa More is a bit tough due to the rough roads. Hence, if you’re commuting, better contact the owner / caretaker first so that you can arrange a proper transportation going to the accommodation. If you’re driving, you can access this by driving to SALVACION. It is 45 minutes away from General Luna. Once you’re in Salvacion, ask the locals where Bukid Pa More is- or you can ask where the tents are located. Most of them are familiar with that. Better if you contact the owner/ caretaker as well to avoid the possibility of getting lost,
How to Book?
